44 - Wed, July 11, We Left Seward, Stopped in Palmer and are now Just Outside of Denali State Park
We spent the night on a pull-out on the side of a mountain, just outside of Denali State Park, not to be confused with the National Park of the same name.

Our last day in Seward was Monday. The reason we stayed as long as we did was mainly to get a mechanical repair done. Before we even left St. Augustine, FL, we noticed a small power steering fluid leak in the high pressure power steering line. Fluid was seeping out VERY slowly. We kept forgetting to get it fixed, ie, replacing the line. I even bought the part in St. Augustine a few days before we left. Sometimes you do stupid things. Obviously, we should have gotten it repaired in FL. It was such a small leak that I guess we put it on the back burner. The thing with leaks like that is that they don't fix themselves and they only get worse over time. We both knew that but in the excitement to get moving... well. Anyway, it hasn't given us much trouble at all over the past 5 or so thousand miles. We check it, we add when necessary. We tried to buy the part a couple of times, but no one had it in stock. I FINALLY ordered the part ahead of our arrival in Seward, AK. The auto repair place in Seward was closed most of the week of the Fourth. Anyway, we showed up Monday morning right when they opened with our new power steering line in hand. By the afternoon, we were on our way, and we no longer had to worry about the power steering line failing, well, it was replaced with a new one at least. We drove back north to Palmer, AK.

We saw this guy parked at "No Sweatt Auto Repair" in Seward where we got our RV fixed.

More rain today in Seward
This photo didn't turn out too well, it's telling readers about the Tsunami warning system in town. They test it on Wednesdays and boy is it loud!
We headed on back north to Palmer for a repair to our bumper
