We were notified via email last night that our ferry had been cancelled due to a gale warning. We were notified this morning that we had been re-booked on the ferry tonight at 11:45pm.  Ok. The forecast is showing a small amount of decrease in the wind speed. Unfortunately for us, it will likely be a very rocky ride as the gale force waves will not have had a chance to decrease much.  Adam went out to do the "Man in the Mountain" trail today. Hopefully, he'll take photos and create a blog post about the hike.  We'd like to leave Steady Brook by 4pm, to get us into Port aux Basque well before dark. We'll have to wait around a while, but I would rather wait near the ferry terminal. Google says we are about 2.5 hours from Port...

Easy rolling hills and not much traffic. Very low stress driving.  A little drizzle every now and again.  We stopped at the RV dump station in Deer Lake and emptied our tanks. We arrived in Steady Brook, and headed out to a Mexican restaurant that my cousin Brenda had recommended. Ok, we'll try anything! We saw a beautiful rainbow as we drove into Corner Brook Downtown Corner Brook Menu from the Mexican restaurant. "Tlacuache" means oppossum.  Great surprisingly authentic food. Highly recommend! Yep. Fog everywhere.  We remembered that we had used iOverlander.com for suggestions on where to park overnight. We ended up parked on a concrete community wharf alongside small stored open boats.  The yellow building is opening as a restaurant next week. No other restaurants were open while we were in Tilting. We were there the wrong time of year.  It was a great spot. We had a view overlooking the little harbor and town.  Chilly and foggy. Adam had a breakfast consisting of Peter's homemade bread, his homemade marmalade and clementine oranges from Ruth. And, of course, coffee.  Then he cooked up some eggs, sausages and bacon for us both (THANKS Ruth!!) Kiri's favorite spot for viewing the outside. We started heading back toward the fer...
