Who Can Spell Albuquerque?

I'm writing this from a Ford dealership in Albuquerque, NM.

Yesterday evening, we accidentally slid into a 10 inch curb and hit it fairly hard. The RV SEEMS ok, except that the steering wheel doesn't line up with the front wheels at all. It used to, before we hit the curb...

We got into Albuquerque at around 6:45am after an early and cold start to the day. We stayed at an RV park last night, 1/10 of a mile from where it happened. Nothing to do, nothing was open.

That's our little beauty, tucked in between the larger RV's

On the internet we saw that Firestone in Albuquerque does alignments. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened. The guy that was already there told us, no dice. They can't handle the weight of our RV... driving around Albuquerque, we kept getting false leads on who could do the alignment on a Saturday.

We were travelling straight ahead. This is how far off the steering wheel is. Hopefully, it just needs an alignment to the steering wheel, fingers crossed.

By the way, right after we hit the curb, I made a call to my longtime friend, Kevin. He's an amazing mechanic back up in Virginia near where I used to live. He asked me a few questions and he thought is was likely that an alignment was all that we needed. Anyway, we eventually made it to a local Ford dealer that is also a truck repair place. Perfect. It was 10am when we arrived and they said it would be a 3 hour wait. We were just happy to find someone who could do it today!

While waiting for things to open, we found a breakfast place, "Weck's."

Adam ordered the chicken and waffles and loved it!

Driving into downtown Albuquerque was gorgeous! the mountains rose up around the city and were beautifully lit by the rising sun behind us

Here at the Ford dealer, they also have a Ford Restaurant. Adam got a rootbeer float, looks really good!

Yes. We did get her fixed up and we're back on the road, headed for Williams, AZ. It's a small-ish town and hour or so from the Grand Canyon. We have a reservation in a campground there for tonight. We wont be rolling in until midnight or so...

More soon!
