We will be arriving in Lloydminster in about 30 mins. Our travels so far : Our travels today took us through the lovely town of Regina. We did the cliche thing that any tourist would do when traveling through Regina. We ate lunch at an Afghanistan restaurant. It was one of those strip mall places. It turned out to be EXCELLENT. The tiny place was completely full by noon. We drove on through Saskatoon For the most part though, it was more quiet rural roads. At one point we HAD to get gas. We hadn't passed a gas station in 50 miles. Then we came upon this self serve, saved the day! It took us a few minutes to find the door to the little room in the tank thing to pay, but we managed. Hours of beautiful clouds on a beautiful day. Tonight, its the CampN' RV in Lloydminster, AB. We're paying, on average, $3.38/gallon for gas here in Canada so far. Interesting to note, we've had excellent LTE cellular coverage all day today, des

Where we are now , Estevan, SK, Canada We spent an uneventful night in the Minot, ND, Walmart. The Village Inn restaurant close to us had free wi-fi. Adam managed to set up our wi-fi amplified antenna and our own router and network. Everything working well. We even watched a little Netflix before we both fell soundly asleep in our huge and comfy bed. It was a nice cool night, down into the 60's. This morning, we were up around 8 am and we could feel that it was already fairly warm out, probably around 80F. We went to the Scandinavian Heritage Park for a quick picnic lunch. Very nice park with examples of Scandinavian architecture. Beautiful sunny day, a little warm though. High in the upper 80's. Then we went to find a place to help us undo our cargo carrier hitch extender. We had bought it from good old Harbor Freight and it would not come off. We bought a new one that added about 5" more clearance to our cargo carrier. We could NOT get the old one off. W

We're here , in Minot, North Dakota We are getting pretty far up there. No rain today which was nice. We can drive without the reflectix in the windows. It's shiny foil-like stuff used for insulation. We were using it in our windows to keep the main part of the RV cool when we drive. The truck cab has AC that works well, but it can't cool the whole RV. The Reflectix works pretty well to keep it cool inside. Anyway, we didn't need it. Tonight is another Walmart night. The Village in is adjacent to the Walmart parking lot and has great free wifi, good for making blog posts. We'll be pulling into Canada tomorrow so we'll pick up any last minute stuff while we're here. Adam has been trying to run in the mornings before we leave. This morning he did a 3 mile run before breakfast. Adam pulled over so he could get some pictures of the scenery Starting to get a few more hills We stopped at Paradiso for lunch We did not e

Where We Are Now, click here Iowa and into Minnesota. Another day of driving the back roads. More rain off and on. More corn. Lots of corn. We also saw a few wheat fields. Adam and I both, on different occasions, saw what looked like pelicans. Could they be in this area? Sure looked like it. I came pretty close to hitting three fawns standing to the side of the highway in my lane. They ran as we approached, luckily I was able to avoid all three. Didn't see the mom deer. I also saw a pheasant with it's long colorful tail near the side of the road and I saw a field of at least 10 wild turkeys.  Avoiding the interstates brings you through quiet rural areas. Literally, I could go for 10 minutes without seeing any other car. Perfect for someone like me that's terrified of driving after an accident last year. On the other hand, we have been driving through many small towns so filling up with gas doesn't take us off our route at all.  Almost forgot, we had o
