28 - Wed June, 20, 2018 Chattahoochee Bend State Park, GA

We are not taking any interstate highways. For a couple of reasons. We want to be able to see the little towns and scenic byways. Besides, these little Toyota Winnebagos are, shall we say, not exactly designed for speed. There's also the fact that I'm terrified of highways after a bad crash Adam and I were in last year. So we're taking our time.

We didn't pull out of St. Augustine until around noon. It's hard to get organized enough to finally leave. You're always worried you forgot something. Sooner or later, you just have to leave and accept the fact that you likely did forget stuff. That's fine though. There are many, many stores to pick up whatever is needed. Florida was pretty flat and uneventful. We had strangely heavy traffic in some spots though.

You can see our little screen for our rear view camera as we sit in traffic.

We decided to splurge for a campsite with electric so that we can use our AC. Too hot to sleep without it.

Chattahoochee Bend State Park, SW of Atlanta

Beautiful campground on an actual bend in the Chattahoochee River. Of course we never saw the river. Nice tall pines to block the heat of the morning sun. Kinda anxious to get north to cooler weather..

The doggies enjoyed the big king bed
