31 - June 24, 2018, Lake Cornelia Campgrounds, Iowa

Our location today, Lake Cornelia Campgrounds, Iowa, aka Wright Conservation Board.

Our drive was through beautiful gently rolling hills in between rows and rows and rows of corn, corn, corn.  The roads were straight, some weren't in great shape but it was an easy relaxing drive.

You can see the wind farm in the background. We saw quite a few wind farms along the way.

We arrived at our campground. It's in the middle of, well, not much. To put it in perspective, the closest Target is 10 hours away. Yeah. There was a little town a couple of miles from our campground. We stopped and bought some ground beef and a few other things for burgers on the grill tonight. We didn't have reservations. We tried calling but since it was the weekend and the place is run by the town, no one answered. When we arrived, we found out that it was booked solid. Turns out, someone had left, thank God. We managed to get the only available spot.

So good.

We LOVE this campground. $22/night with FULL hookups! Yep, electric, water and sewer. Plus the welcome bonus of excellent FREE wifi.
Adam and I both took our first hot (water heater working like a champ) showers. Very nice. Adam did laundry in our little incredible washer, more on that later.
We woke up to a very comfortable 70 degrees. Beautiful, quiet and clean. Well, quiet, except for the birds singing. Lots of birds singing.

I think our next stop will be just south of Fargo.
